Talent Board, a non-profit organisation focused on the promotion and data benchmark research of a quality candidate experience, will be hosting an event in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, to honour the first ever Asia Pacific Candidate Experience (CandE) Award winners.

A total of 11 companies will be recognised as winners of the 2015 programme and celebrated for their achievements in providing an exemplary candidate experience.

These winners have been selected by a distinguished judging panel, which included Talent Board co-founder Gerry Crispin, chief navigator at CareerXroads, and Joseph P. Murphy, executive vice president of Shaker, based on their exceptional recruiting practices.

“With global talent shortages and companies around the world struggling to find qualified workers, the candidate experience an organisation provides can significantly improve its ability to attract and engage the best candidates,” said Elaine Orler, Talent Board co-founder and chairman.

“We are excited to reveal the winners of the first-ever APAC CandE Awards and put the spotlight on the recruiting practices and technologies that enable employers throughout the region to deliver an exceptional candidate experience,” she added.

Following the Awards Reception, Talent Board will host the first APAC CandE Half-Day Workshop on Thursday, February 25. This event will gather talent acquisition leaders and practitioners from across the region to learn about the best practices that contribute to an effective candidate experience. Attendees will also gain insight into the current state of candidate experience in APAC, including key survey results and data on changing candidate behaviours, preferred methods of communication, overall expectations and what employers can do to leave a positive impression on candidates, even those who weren’t hired.

The APAC CandE Awards is a no-cost competition designed to help employers throughout the APAC region measure their candidate experience practices against their peers. It also serves as a benchmarking program, enabling participants to learn the recruiting strategies that deliver the best results and contribute to a positive candidate experience.

The 2015 APAC CandE Awards program consisted of a comprehensive evaluation processes in which employers completed a survey about their current recruiting processes. Participating employers’ job candidates were also surveyed to capture their feedback about the experience they had in researching, engaging and learning their outcome of selection.

Never heard the call out for nominations. Would have been good to be a part of this. Oh well, next time! Good luck to those involved.
